Peace Love Power is a podcast dedicated to mental health, but not in the way it’s typically discussed.

Each season focuses on a topic critical to building strong communities in addition to cultivating depth and balance in our lives as individuals. Episodes range from off-the-cuff conversations to edited and focused pieces delving deeper on a specific area; we might even throw in a video or two… who knows?!

Season One: Let's Talk About Friends

This is the first episode for the pilot season of Peace Love Power. We’re going to “let the ugly hang” as we talk about the dynamics and power of friendship. To kick us off, this episode features an interview with Dr. Enrique Neblett who is a professor of Health Behavior & Health Education at the University of Michigan in addition to serving as the Associate Director for the Detroit Academic-Community Urban Research Center. Dr. Neblett and I kick it and discuss potential connections between friendship and mental health.

Through the darkness and rage we all became so familiar with, new ways to manage ourselves and prioritize our commitments emerged–and so did this podcast. Peace Love Power is back with a new format, a co-host, recurring guests, laughs, and deep reflections. Check us out as we take a redo and get back to it…
